She comes from a loving, supportive, and close-knit family who enjoy spending quality time together. Sameena enjoys hobbies such as dancing, listening to music, shopping, socialising with her peers in college, and playing games on her iPad and laptop. She has cerebral palsy and a learning disability. Sameena uses her iPad to support her verbal communication and uses a wheelchair when out and about. She strives for independence, is a capable young lady, and likes to make her own decisions. A small, dedicated care team supports Sameena, and we are currently recruiting a part-time SEN Support Worker / PA to join the team. Overview of role: The SEN Support Worker / PA will assist Sameena with all areas of her activities of daily living (ADLs), daily routine, and personal care needs. A typical morning involves helping Sameena get ready for college and accompanying her on organized transport. Afternoons may include implementing therapy programs such as physiotherapy or taking Sameena to activities like dance class or the youth club. Sometimes, Sameena might prefer to relax after a busy day. You will work as part of a small team; the rota is organized in advance, and you can discuss your availability and preferred working days. Shifts are available Monday to Friday and optionally on Saturdays. Who this job would suit: A positive, friendly, kind, energetic female SEN Support Worker / PA with a passion for working with young adults and promoting independence. You should be intuitive, creative, and enjoy working one-on-one in a family setting. Non-smoker/vaper only. Whatโ€™s great about this job: This role offers flexibility for additional hours or part-time work. The team is supportive, with some members having worked with Sameena for several years, reflecting the positive environment.
