We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our team in the Midlands region due to high profile project wins. The project will be based in the East Midlands region. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality construction projects. Working alongside Senior Engineers and Site Managers, you’ll use your technical expertise, surveying skills, and problem-solving abilities to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards. You’ll also contribute to safety, programme, and budget goals while mentoring and supporting Apprentice and Graduate Engineers.

What you will be doing:

  • Site & Setting Out – Ensure precision in construction using surveying instruments and technical drawings.
  • Project & Design Management – Interpret construction plans, raise RFIs, and assist in resolving design challenges.
  • Commercial Awareness – Understand contracts, costs, and materials to support efficient project delivery.
  • Quality & Safety – Implement quality procedures, conduct inspections, and champion safe working practices.
  • Team Leadership – Supervise junior engineers, subcontractors, and site teams to drive performance.

What you will bring:

  • You will possess a qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Structural Engineering to HNC level or above.
  • A track record of delivering setting out and engineering processes.
  • Ability to use CAD software for data transfer to/from single person working kit EDM preferable.
  • Highly competent in surveying and setting out techniques and able to teach others.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring Graduate and Apprentice engineers.
