Amazon’s vendor recruitment team is looking for a talented Vendor Manager. Our vision is to drive scaled growth for our Retail business in Europe (EU) through cultivating vendor partnerships and onboarding the brands most desired by EU customers. In this role, you will be responsible for onboarding and scaling the most customer relevant brands across the EU for the first 12-18 months on Amazon Retail. You might work on any product family (Consumables, Hardlines or Softlines) based on the team needs.
Key job responsibilities
- Your objectives will be to help build the best possible selection for our customers with the development of partnerships with new vendors.
- Your job will consist of prospecting, assessing, reaching out to and launching new vendors on Amazon.
- Identify, prospect and reach out to new vendors, analyse their potential for Amazon.
- Lead first steps by cold-calling potential partners or attending commercial events and trade fairs, confidently explaining advantages and benefits of partnering with Amazon.
- Be a business consultant to new vendors and provide insights and advice for them, being able to deal with different business profiles.
- Help new vendors to integrate their catalogue data into Amazon platform, master Amazon’s internal tools and train vendors on how to use these tools.
- Be the point of contact for vendors: you will help the entire recruitment cycle of new vendors from your pipeline, able to work autonomously.
- Negotiate annual terms with a vendor to ensure vendor is set up for long term sustainable growth on Amazon.
- Plan, conduct, deliver and report analyses to understand the performance of new vendors.
- Help to develop and improve recruiting and onboarding processes, assist in removing any technical blockers, identifying technical improvement areas and renegotiating terms in case profitability of vendor deteriorates.
- Own projects and drive results on the projects working with cross-functional stakeholders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of retail or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- English knowledge at C1+ level.
- German knowledge at C1+ level.
- Demonstrated track record of success in meeting and exceeding business and/or financial KPI.
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional internal and external audiences.
- Ability to work with a wide range of people at all decision-making levels, including C-suite.
- Experience with large data sets and insight generation using Excel, SQL, or other data analysis tools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- SQL skills would be an added advantage.
- Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce to track sales cycle activities.
