Our local government clients are recruiting an Employer Engagement Officer to help unemployed individuals secure employment through job outcome-focused support tailored to their individual needs. We are seeking candidates with a customer-centred focus and a commitment to supporting people into work, to deliver a high-quality service to residents through the effective delivery of externally funded programmes and a universal employment and skills support offer.
Responsibility
- Responsible for carrying out interface with employers across all sites and supporting a caseload of job-ready customers into work.
- Responsible for aspects of employer engagement, coordinating approaches to key employers and brokering opportunities for skills and other initiatives as appropriate.
Qualification – Essential
- GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
- Level 3 /4 qualification or equivalent experience.
- Advanced – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), social media and CRM.
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- To have proven experience of working with a range of employers across several industry sectors.
- Must be able to demonstrate experience in securing job vacancies, paid and unpaid work placements, and apprenticeship opportunities.
- Experience in delivering account-managed services for employers and achieving local business and employment outcomes.
- Experience working independently and managing workload.
- Advanced influencing, networking and negotiation skills.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, to use initiative, prioritise work and meet competing deadlines and targets.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills - written and verbal.
- Experience in organising and coordinating events.
Essential Compliance Requirements
- 3 Years References.
- Enhanced DBS & barred list check.
- A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
