    Job Summary

    We are currently looking for a reliable and skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our transport team. This role includes a variety of work, including flatbed, refrigerated transport, and general haulage, offering a great opportunity to gain diverse experience in a fast-paced logistics environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Safely operate a Class 1 HGV, including flatbed, refrigerated trailers, and general haulage units
    • Carry out thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness of the vehicle
    • Plan and follow routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
    • Accurately complete delivery paperwork and logs
    • Maintain constant communication with dispatch regarding updates or delays
    • Comply with UK traffic laws, health & safety, and company protocols
    • Provide excellent customer service at delivery and collection points

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Valid HGV Class C+E licence, with up-to-date CPC and tachograph card
    • Experience in flatbed work, temperature-controlled loads, and/or general haulage preferred
    • Good working knowledge of vehicle safety checks, secure loading, and manual handling
    • Comfortable using GPS and route-planning tools
    • Strong attention to detail and a high regard for safety and compliance
    • Clear communication skills and a professional approach to customer interaction
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
