A key focus is laboratory and health and safety management. You will work closely with the Faculty Safety Advisors, Section Safety Coordinators, and Laboratory Managers to ensure compliance with all College policies and procedures. The role also includes space management and planning, significant equipment purchases, refurbishment projects, and research group relocations. You will lead a team of 9 people across the Institute to ensure the smooth and safe operation of NHLI laboratories. This involves relationship management with staff across the Institute, Faculty, and College-wide departments. You will be a key part of the Institute’s management team, advising on health and safety, laboratory management, and space planning. You should be an experienced laboratory manager with knowledge of laboratory safety and equipment in a biomedical research setting. You should have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and influence at various levels and manage conflicts effectively.
