We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Health Safety & Environmental Enforcement Officer who has possession of or working towards an appropriate Environmental Health qualification, experience of food safety and health & safety enforcement, and excellent organisation and negotiation skills.
Working as the Health Safety & Environmental Enforcement Officer you will be responsible for proactive and reactive Food Hygiene and Health and Safety at Work interventions, Approved Premises, Food Sampling, Infectious Disease Control and Dermal Treatment Licence Inspections.
Irrespective of your level of experience and qualification the organisation would like to hear from both experienced Environmental Health Officers/Practitioners and those looking to gain experience in new areas of Environmental Health and newly qualified/nearly qualified Officers.

DUTIES
Enforcing Environmental Health legislation, including statutory compliance inspections
Carrying out compliance inspections and reactive and complaint investigations
Gathering evidence, preparing formal inspection reports, statutory notices, schedules and specifications
Preparing prosecution reports and taking legal proceedings
At Senior level, responsibility for an Environmental Health Specialism
To engage with a range of stakeholders and external agencies
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Possession of or working towards an appropriate Environmental Health qualification
Ability to plan, prioritise and manage work. At Senior level to have responsibility for coordinating inspection programmes, reactive service requests and allocation of such
Negotiate, persuade, and influence others to change behaviours, to achieve desired outcomes
Competence in accordance with the Current Food Law Code of Practice and food safety and health & safety enforcement experience within a local authority
