About the role: Our Health Care Assistants support people to live their best lives, whatever that looks like to them. No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- supporting people with their personal care
- assisting people at meal times
- understanding individual health and wellbeing needs
- encouraging and supporting people to take part in social activities, both in and out of the home
- promoting choice, dignity, independence and respect
- completing and maintaining care records

Dearnevale is conveniently located in Grimethorpe, close to Cudworth, Brierley, South Kirkby and Great Houghton. It’s a short drive from the A628 and the A653. You can get to Dearnevale via Elizabeth Street, off St Luke's Road. There are limited parking spaces in the home’s car park. Street parking is available in the surrounding area.
Public transport to Dearnevale: The home is a short walk from several bus stops. St Lukes Road/Elizabeth Street bus stop (stop ID: 37055222), which is accessed by buses 27, 27a, 27b and 39. Cemetery Road/St Lukes Road bus stop (stop ID:37055867), which is accessed by buses 27, 27a and 27b. There's also a train station in the local area. Grimethorpe Interchange - 0.2 miles away (five minute walk).
