Position: General Technician
Summary: The General Technician position requires basic experience across all disciplines within the entertainment industry. Responsibilities include moving and installing materials and equipment, attaching dΓ©cor, running power and data cabling, and supporting technical show elements. The role also involves supporting the onsite team to operate equipment for successful show delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Install temporary AV equipment, including sound, lighting, and SFX, across multiple venues.
- Basic programming and operation of QLab and lighting software onsite.
- Assist in installing a pop-up stage and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Work efficiently to deliver high-quality events.
Qualifications:
Education: GCSEs or equivalent; vocational or technical training in welding, engineering, rigging, carpentry, electronics, audio, construction, or electrical fields preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years in the technical entertainment field.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid UK Driving Licence; CSCS and IPAF certifications are advantageous.
