Overview
First Military Recruitment is currently seeking an Electrical Systems Technician on behalf of one of our clients.
This challenging position involves the installation of bespoke MOTS/COTS electrical systems in support of both vehicle and survivability systems. Some bench manufacturing of individual looms and bench modification of electro-mechanical sub-systems may also be required to support certain bespoke projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the companyβs production activities at sites.
- Hands-on assembly of electrical looms including:
- Reading schematic drawings.
- Managing Bills of Materials (BoMs).
- Controlling stocks of electrical consumables.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing principles.
- Assist the Team Leader in meeting performance-based outputs (KPIs).
- Assist the Electrical Design team with prototype development of electrical and electro-mechanical sub-systems for our products.

Skills and Qualifications:
- HNC/BTEC Diploma or equivalent in Automotive Systems installation and repair.
- Experience with low production manufacturing techniques and processes.
- Understanding of military specification radios and electrical sub-systems or similar.
- Understanding of OEM automotive vehicle systems.
- Knowledge of electromagnetic influence on electrical sub-systems and networks.
- Ability to apply system design electrical theory and electronic principles to diagnose sub-system faults.
