Road Freight Operations / Customer Service Summary: You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to clients, resolving inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction. Hours: 37.5 Per Week Excluding Lunch . Monday – Friday (Apply online only) Salary: 32-38K per annum . Holidays: 20 Days + Bank holidays Key responsibilities: * Answer phone calls and emails from customers in a timely and professional manner. * Maintain accurate records of customer interactions. * Liaise with various carriers and hauliers and other offices. * Taking bookings by telephone and email * Quoting own service and any forwarding jobs – Sales Support. * Building /creating jobs (multi-freight) * Customs preparation – CDS / Thyme-it / TSS entries * Booking in final deliveries * Filing and post * Processing POD’s and Invoices. Skills required: * Mature and dynamic personality, which enables the focus of interaction with colleagues to be proactive. * A good understanding of how important customer satisfaction and trust is to the business. * Good customer service skills * Proficiency in Microsoft office * Ability to work independently and part of a team * Good organisational skills * Good communications skills, including the ability to communicate effectively at all levels * IT literate * Time and self-management skills * Enthusiasm & willingness to learn Experience required; * Minimum 3 years previous experience within a similar role will be required
