We believe in building quality into every aspect of our business, and we are now seeking a visionary Senior Product Owner to join us. You need to have extensive experience in working with financial market data and be an expert in the challenges faced in using these data to build risk models and generate investment risk analytics for buy-side institutions. You will know how Axioma’s solutions play a unique part in both the front and middle office and maintain a deep understanding of where the financial services and the market data industry is moving. You will have deep knowledge of modern data platforms and how they can help organisations develop its data maturity and align its data initiatives with business objectives. You will use your expertise in these areas to define a strategy which will ensure that SimCorp is maximising the value from the data it ingests and you will work with our vendor management, development, and operations teams to implement that vision.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Understand the Axioma data catalogue and associated data-pipelines including data lineage.
- Be the expert and go-to person as it relates to the data pipelines, how the data is used and any contractual limitations.
- Work with vendor management to identify areas where there are opportunities to optimise data usage and/or provide vendor resilience.
- Define a long term vision to deliver on this data strategy.
- Work closely with research, engineering, operations teams to define the roadmap for the delivery of this vision.
- Take ownership of this roadmap, managing a set of KPIs to help track and measure outcome.
- Be willing to get involved in testing and sign-off on the roll-out of new data pipelines.
- Take ownership of the data pipeline for new data-sets in support of the broader Axioma Roadmap.
- Work closely with vendor management to own and optimise our data budget and the budgeting life-cycle.
- Develop relationships with vendors and other 3rd parties.
- Follow the industry best practices to ensure to meet these goals.
WHAT WE VALUE
- Deep knowledge on the landscape of market data vendors and trends in these markets.
- Experience in building modern data pipelines in support of investment risk platforms and/or analytics.
- Significant market data experience across multiple asset classes.
- Good knowledge of multi-factor, multi-asset class risk models and their application.
- Good knowledge of investment risk analytics and their application.
- Experience in negotiating with market data vendors and contract management is beneficial.
- Agile-certified product manager or product owner certification is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Python, SQL and other scripting languages is beneficial.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, as you must communicate regularly with stakeholders, product owners, and different departments within the organization.
