Our client is recruiting for a great opportunity to work within a highly technical environment, working with customers across the world manufacturing unique products.
Production Technician Role and Responsibilities:
- Operating various machinery for manufacturing and production
- Preparation to control and operating the refining machinery
- Being involved with quality control to test products ensuring it meets customer independent requirements
- Operating as part of a team to ensure the operational KPI’s are achieved for the shift
- Ensuring that operation of equipment required for the role is carried out in accordance with the mill’s health, safety and environmental procedures
- Ensuring that the quality requirements for the task undertaken are met
- Measuring, monitoring and reviewing the machine performance so that the deviation from specification can be prevented and corrected
- Playing a proactive part in improving the efficiency of the paper machine and all associated equipment and operations
- Once trained: Mentoring and training other team members in the above process
The ideal Production Technician will:
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work in a safe and disciplined manner
- Experience within the paper making business (Desirable)
- Knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques such as process flow design, control systems operation and setting, and vision systems (Desirable)
Production Technician Working Hours:
- Week 1: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 18:00pm – 06:00am Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday off
- Week 2: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 06:00am – 18:00pm Monday off
- Week 3: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 18:00pm – 06:00am Friday, Saturday and Sunday off
- Week 4: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 06:00am – 18:00pm 7 Days off
Production Technician Benefits:
- Starting salary will rise to £34,250.72 after probation. Which the rises to £37,312.52 once competent in role, with a further opportunity to increase to £40,116.76
