JS Recruitment are working in partnership with a well-established engineering company to recruit an experienced Operations Coordinator. Based at their site in Normanton, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable and growing organisation that delivers critical engineering services to clients across the UK.
As Operations Coordinator, you’ll take the lead in planning and coordinating scheduled works, managing engineer allocation and ensuring service excellence is consistently delivered. You’ll liaise closely with customers, engineers, subcontractors and internal departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and coordinate planned engineering works including inspections, servicing, and repairs.
- Use systems such as SAP or JobWatch (or similar) to manage job scheduling and engineer deployment.
- Act as a main point of contact for customers, providing regular updates and resolving any service-related issues.
- Track job progress and ensure timely closeouts while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.
- Issue RAMS and ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Support commercial activities including job costing, profitability monitoring, and invoice accuracy.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Experience in a similar Operations Coordinator role within an engineering, maintenance or technical service environment would be ideal.
- Good understanding of scheduling, workflow management and customer coordination.
- Experience with operational software such as SAP, JobWatch or other service management tools would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with RAMS, compliance procedures and health & safety regulations is desirable.
