Kobalt Music Publishing is looking for a Coordinator to join our Contract Administration team, focused on the administration of sound recordings and master rights. You’ll play a critical role in interpreting and onboarding Kobalt’s client agreements, ingesting metadata into our systems, and ensuring accuracy in our client reporting. This is a detail-oriented, process-driven role that sits at the intersection of operations, rights management, and business affairs.

What You’ll Do

  • Interpret and onboard key agreement terms from long-form contracts into Kobalt’s internal systems
  • Assist with collation, quality-checking, management, and storage of metadata and assets
  • Ingest metadata for new signings and recording deliveries into our systems
  • Support the creation and improvement of onboarding and ingestion guides
  • Register tracks/products for performance, broadcast, and chart tracking
  • Help track and manage conditional amendments to active agreements
  • Support wider admin teams in interpreting and applying contractual terms
  • Work closely with Business Affairs to evaluate feasibility of proposed client deal terms
  • Contribute to operational improvement initiatives across the department

What Success Looks Like

  • In 1 month: You’ll be supporting metadata ingestion and assisting with basic contract interpretation alongside your manager.
  • In 3 months: You’ll be independently handling metadata tasks, contributing to internal documentation, and collaborating confidently with teams across the business.
  • In 6 months: You’ll be trusted with onboarding new agreements, supporting Business Affairs, and contributing to process improvements and scalable documentation.
