We’re looking for an animator who can turn insight into emotion – creating compelling, expressive character animations that make our content more human, more delightful, and more impactful. From in-app journeys to social content to product storytelling, you’ll help shape how Flo looks, moves, and feels. Your Experience
- Must have:
- A strong portfolio or reel showcasing your character animation work (including a breakdown)
- 5+ years of experience in character animation, ideally within a creative tech, gaming, or product environment
- Expertise in expressive motion: emotion, gesture, timing, humor, and storytelling
- Solid understanding of animation fundamentals: weight, spacing, staging, appeal
- Experience using tools such as Adobe After Effects, Rive, or similar
- The ability to work flexibly and collaboratively in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment
- Experience mentoring or giving feedback to other animators
- Familiarity with shipping animations in product environments (e.g. Lottie/JSON pipelines)
- Passion for building more inclusive, accessible, and engaging visual content for diverse audiences
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating engaging 2D/3D characters and animations that connect with users and enhance learning and awareness
- Contributing to the evolution of Flo’s visual identity and character-driven storytelling
- Collaborating closely with Product, Content, Brand, and Engineering teams to bring ideas to life
- Thinking across touchpoints – in-app, social, video, web – adapting your work for multiple formats and audiences
- Owning animation projects end-to-end, from early concept and rough passes to polished final renders
- Staying aligned with timelines, tools, and technical pipelines while pushing for creative excellence
