About the Firm

This is a progressive, respected, and long-established law firm that’s built its name on trust, quality, and a forward-thinking approach. Known for delivering exceptional service across multiple practice areas, they’ve grown steadily year-on-year — and their Residential Property department is booming. The firm combines traditional values with modern practice. Expect a collaborative culture, solid career progression, and the resources you need to thrive. They believe great people build great practices — and they’re looking for a talented Conveyancer to join them.

About the Conveyancer Role

This is a high-responsibility, high-reward opportunity for an experienced Conveyancer who knows how to manage the full lifecycle of a transaction — from instruction to post-completion. You’ll be supported by a full-time Conveyancing Assistant and empowered to deliver exceptional client care while building strong relationships with agents, solicitors, and referrers. The caseload is varied and engaging — including freehold, leasehold, re-mortgages, new builds, transfers of equity, unregistered titles, and shared ownership. You’ll handle technical matters with confidence and contribute to continuous improvement across the department.

Key Responsibilities of the Conveyancer

  • Manage your own caseload of residential property transactions
  • Handle freehold, leasehold, sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and transfers
  • Deal with complex matters including trusts, attorneys, matrimonial, and probate-linked property
  • Liaise with estate agents, clients, solicitors, and lenders to drive progress
  • Oversee SDLT submissions, Land Registry processes, and all post-completion tasks
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to junior colleagues as required
  • Keep up to date with legal developments and regulatory compliance
  • Represent the firm professionally and support business development efforts

What We’re Looking For in a Conveyancer

Essential:

  • Proven track record managing a full conveyancing caseload
  • Excellent knowledge of residential property law, practice, and compliance
  • Confident, clear communicator with strong drafting and client liaison skills
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise under pressure
  • Tech-savvy, confident with case management systems and MS Office

Desirable:

  • Qualified as a Solicitor, CLC Licensed Conveyancer or CILEX Legal Executive
  • Experience dealing with new builds, lease extensions, or shared ownership properties
  • Familiarity with unregistered titles and complex estate matters

Benefits of the Conveyancer Role

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Bonus scheme and recognition for high performance
  • 23 days holiday + bank holidays + 1 extra day for every year of service (up to 28)
  • Free on-site parking
  • Pension scheme and death in service cover
  • Supported CPD and professional development
  • Regular team events and a collaborative working environment
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid options
  • Excellent transport links – close to the A1 and rail connections
