We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Team Leader to join a well-established residential care setting for young people in Hoddesdon. This is a permanent opportunity, ideal for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support care staff during shifts, including rota planning and supervision
- Build positive, supportive relationships with young people
- Promote safeguarding, emotional well-being, and personal development
- Oversee daily care routines, key working, and care planning
- Liaise with external professionals and contribute to care reviews
- Support management and deputise in their absence
Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in residential care
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child development
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Ability to work on a rota, including on-call duties
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Ofsted standards and childcare legislation
- Experience working with challenging behaviour
