Salary: Β£13 - Β£14 per hour (Fixed rate, non-negotiable)

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Team Leader to join a well-established residential care setting for young people in Hoddesdon. This is a permanent opportunity, ideal for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support care staff during shifts, including rota planning and supervision
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with young people
  • Promote safeguarding, emotional well-being, and personal development
  • Oversee daily care routines, key working, and care planning
  • Liaise with external professionals and contribute to care reviews
  • Support management and deputise in their absence

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in residential care
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child development
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Ability to work on a rota, including on-call duties

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Ofsted standards and childcare legislation
  • Experience working with challenging behaviour
