HGV2 Drivers & 7.5 Tonne Drivers Wanted β Houghton Le Spring
We are currently recruiting HGV2 Drivers and 7.5 Tonne Drivers for a long-term, ongoing opportunity based in Houghton Le Spring, working on behalf of Sunderland, Gateshead or South Tyneside Councils.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday only β No weekends!
- Start time: 6:45 AM
- Finish by 4:15 PM at the latest
Job Role:
- Driving a tipper vehicle carrying concrete or tarmac
- Occasionally required to tow a trailer with a mini excavator β towing experience is an advantage, but not essential
- You must clean out the tipper after each load
- Jobs are local, and routes are well planned
Requirements:
- Valid HGV2 or 7.5 Tonne Licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph
- No more than 9 points on your licence (No DR or DD offences)
- Access to a laptop or PC β all application paperwork will be sent via email and must be completed digitally
Rates of Pay:
- 7.5 Tonne Drivers: Β£12.75 per hour
- Overtime (after standard hours): Β£18.75 per hour
- HGV2 Drivers: Β£14.00 per hour
- Overtime (after standard hours): Β£21.00 per hour
- Holiday pay is accrued weekly (not rolled into the hourly rate)
- Wages paid weekly in arrears
