The Faculty of Medicine trains over 2,000 students in Medicine and Medical Bioscience and is renowned for excellence, often ranked among the top five globally. As the Admissions Manager, you will oversee the planning and delivery of all operational aspects of the applicant-student journey through admissions for all undergraduate programmes, including the MBBS/BSc Medicine and BSc Medical Biosciences. You will provide specialist advice on admissions processes, collaborate with the Peers Cumbria School of Medicine Admissions team, and handle internal and external statistical reporting. Working closely with senior management and academics, you will ensure students receive high-quality, timely information and support during their admissions experience, maintaining professionalism and approachability.

You will manage the undergraduate admissions team, oversee activities such as recruitment initiatives, marketing, outreach events (including Medicine and BMB Open Days, Offer Holder days), and develop policies to enhance the student experience.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience in a similar role
  • Experience working in undergraduate admissions, preferably in Medicine
  • Proven ability to comply with regulations and codes of practice
  • Excellent managerial and communication skills
