A global manufacturing company in Greater Manchester is seeking a Production Planner to join their established planning team. Working for a rapidly expanding, high volume manufacturer, this role is highly varied and involves planning across a wide range of products and liaising with multiple stakeholders.
The primary responsibilities of the position will be to support the Planning Manager in ensuring production plans for “made to order” products meet customer and business deadlines. Key tasks include:
- You will be responsible for planning and raising orders on the MRP system.
- Helping the department automate and improve processes.
- Dealing with any material issues that arise during the planning and production process.
- Responsible for ensuring that any replacement materials are managed efficiently.
- Assist in the planning of production, ensuring that a good quality service is provided and that all products meet the ISO 9001 standard.
The position is full time - Monday to Friday, 35 hour week. Flexible start and finish times are also on offer. As well as salary, this position comes with 4 x salary life assurance, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension scheme up to 7.5% and single medical health care.
To be considered for the position, candidates will have some experience in a Planning/Supply Chain function within a manufacturing environment and experience using ERP/MRP systems. You will need excellent communication skills both verbally and written, as well as proficient IT skills (MS Word/Excel/Outlook). A formal technical or business qualification would be an advantage.
