Apex Resources are looking for Fishmongers for our client based in Glasgow on a temporary to permanent basis.
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for Nightshift Fishmongers to join our fast-paced processing team. Working overnight, you’ll be responsible for preparing, filleting, and packing fresh fish ready for next-day dispatch. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, speed, and a strong understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.
Shift - Flexible however generally starting midnight /1 am (40 hours per week)
Pay - £15 - £16ph depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Filleting, trimming, and preparing a variety of fresh fish and seafood to order
- Operating machinery safely where required (training provided)
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and hygienic working environment
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
- Working as part of a team to meet overnight production and dispatch deadlines
- Assisting with general warehouse/production duties as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a fishmonger, filleter, or in food processing (preferred)
- Comfortable working in a cold, fast-paced environment
- Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy boxes and fish products
- Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic
- Ability to work night shifts consistently
- Knowledge of health & safety and hygiene regulations (advantageous)
