The Role
We’re seeking a Junior Food Product Developer to join our Food & Snacking team. This role offers the chance to work on exciting new product developments from initial idea to store launch. You’ll help deliver trend-led, consumer-focused food products in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This position is ideal for someone with a food-related degree (Food Science, Nutrition, or similar) and 1-2 years of relevant experience. Please note this is a product development role—not a chef or kitchen-based position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with new product development and product upgrades
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities
- Manage samples, product testing, and supplier communications
- Work with design, marketing, and sales teams to develop product briefs and presentations
- Monitor timelines and ensure projects meet deadlines
- Support product launches and customer meetings
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or related discipline
- 1-2 years’ experience in food product development or similar role
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and team collaboration skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Positive, proactive, and eager to learn
