ISQ Recruitment is supporting a well-established manufacturer in the Cambridgeshire area, looking to bring a Stores Operative onto their logistics team.
About the Role:
You’ll be working as part of a friendly and supportive team, helping to keep materials and components flowing efficiently around the site. The role is based in a clean, modern facility and includes both manual handling and using digital systems to track stock.
Key Responsibilities
- Move stock and materials between departments using forklifts, pallet trucks, and manual handling
- Load and unload deliveries
- Replenish stock areas and Kanbans
- Follow electronic workflows using scanners, PCs or handheld devices
- Operate basic machinery to restock supermarket areas
- Keep work areas tidy and follow site HSE procedures
- Support the team in meeting daily logistics and production needs
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, factory or similar environment
- Good attention to detail and able to follow set processes
- Comfortable using handheld scanners or basic stock systems
- Positive attitude and team player
- Own transport due to location and shift times
Desirable:
- Counterbalance forklift experience – licence useful but training may be provided
- Previous use of ERP or stock control systems
- Willing to get involved in different tasks as needed
