We are looking for a reliable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, including refrigerated and flatbed deliveries, to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to road safety, attention to detail, and a professional attitude when interacting with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Class 2 vehicle in a safe, lawful, and efficient manner.
- Deliver fresh produce and refrigerated goods, ensuring proper handling and temperature control.
- Load and unload cargo, securing all goods appropriately.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete required documentation.
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at all delivery points.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) commercial driving licence.
- Proven experience in a delivery or driving role.
- Experience with flatbed lorry operations is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of UK road laws and driving regulations.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to handle manual loading/unloading tasks.
Additional Information:
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Hourly pay: Β£14.00 - Β£17.00, depending on experience.
