We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV2 Driver to work for a leading logistics client based in Washington. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dependable, professional HGV2 Driver looking for consistent work Monday to Friday, delivering palletised goods across the North East and surrounding regions.

Key Duties:

  • Operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle delivering palletised goods across Tyne & Wear, County Durham, Teesside, Cumbria, and the Scottish Borders.
  • Carry out 12–15 deliveries per day, with the possibility of one collection depending on the area.
  • Use tail lifts, curtain-siders, and electric pallet trucks to unload at customer sites.
  • At certain drops, customers will unload using forklifts.
  • Ensure accurate delivery paperwork and professional customer interaction.

Working Hours & Pay:

  • Monday to Friday only – no weekend work.
  • Standard shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
  • Pay rates:
  • £14.00 per hour (first 8 hours worked daily)
  • £21.00 per hour (for any overtime hours Monday to Friday)
  • Holiday pay accrued weekly (not rolled into hourly rate).
  • Weekly pay in arrears.
  • Candidate Requirements:

    • Must hold a valid HGV2 (Category C) Licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card.
    • Maximum of 6 points on licence – No DR or IN endorsements accepted.
    • Proven experience in multi-drop palletised deliveries.
    • Able to operate tail lifts and electric pallet trucks.
    • Must have access to a PC or laptop to complete a digital application pack, to be filled in and returned via email.
