Contract Length: Ongoing however this is estimated to last 12 months
Location: Ideally you will be located in the North East/Yorkshire. You will cover depots in Durham, Darlington and West Yorkshire
Pay rate: £27.00 per hour LTD company rate (Umbrella also available). Overtime @ X 1.5 - Door to door pay. Basic pay equates to £58,320 per annum (allowing for 4 weeks holiday)
Expenses: Fuel claimed back at 45 pence per mile. Any other business-related expenses will be covered as agreed.
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Start and finish times can vary however typical hours would be evenings 3PM-11PM Monday-Friday.
Are you an Engineer with auto electrical experience and looking for your next contract position? We are seeking an Engineer to join our client's team at a pivotal time in the company's journey as they evolve to meet the future safety needs of buses and coaches. The successful candidate will be eager to learn an interesting role involving mechanical and electrical systems and the ability to fault find. You will predominantly survey and install Electrical kits to buses and coaches. You will work on a self-employed basis through your own Ltd company. If you do not have your own Ltd company, then there are Umbrella solutions available.
The Role:
- Travel to customers' sites to conduct installation surveys on buses and coaches.
- Thoroughly complete all necessary installation survey paperwork.
- Carry out the initial installation in accordance with the manufacturers' guidelines, including making any required electrical connections.
- Test and calibrate the equipment to ensure optimum performance.
- Work efficiently to ensure the tasks are completed within the specified timeframe.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, environmental responsibility, and health and safety, continuously striving for improvement and working without compromise to meet our customers' needs.
Experience Required:
- Knowledge on auto electrics and electrical wiring on vehicles is preferred but domestic electrical knowledge might be considered.
- Must have own transport (Van or Car) to be able to travel to the depots listed at the top of the advert.
- Able to use a variety of hand tools, such as a multimeter.
- Able to supply own basic tools, specialist tools will be provided.
- Basic IT skills for inputting data into a system.
- Flexibility with start and finish times as most work will be in the evenings when buses are back at the depot.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
