Our ships offer innovative features and enriching experiences focused on destination exploration and personalized travel, inviting guests to savor the journey. We’re looking for an experienced Associate Vice President, Global Charter, Incentive, and Series Partnerships to lead our sales strategies, partnerships, and initiatives for full-ship charter sales, incentive group sales, and series group production for Holland America Line and Seabourn. This executive will drive revenue attainment, negotiate agreements, develop marketing and promotional strategies, and ensure successful delivery of customized programming. Building and maintaining strong relationships with charterers and group partners is essential, as is representing the company at industry conferences. The role also involves mentoring a sales team and fostering organizational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Business Development: Build relationships with charter partners, negotiate agreements, review contracts, and manage marketing activities related to charters and incentive groups.
- Execution Excellence: Lead and coach a team to deliver customized charter experiences, negotiate complex requests, and ensure implementation aligns with company interests.
- Financial Accountability: Source and retain revenue from non-retail channels, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Team Management: Motivate and mentor team members, collaborate with onboard teams, and promote a positive work environment.
Requirements
- 15+ years of cruise sales experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles within the C&I sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business, or related field.
- Strong partnership-building skills, decisive decision-making, and negotiation abilities.
- Analytical skills to assess revenue and costs, excellent communication skills, and leadership capability.
- Willingness to travel 25-50%, including shipboard travel.
