At Victrex, we're on the lookout for a dynamic and innovative Reward Partner to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract. The Reward Partner role will support the activities flowing from the company’s global reward and payroll strategies, in order that processes, policies and frameworks meet legal requirements, are in line with current business needs and best practice, and are developed to meet future requirements, consistent with the company’s desired internal and external market position.
Responsible for:
- Effective leadership of a team of payroll specialists, one direct report Payroll Partner, up to five indirect Payroll Advisors, plus ‘dotted-line’ for regional payroll activities through HR Partners.
- Joint sign-off on regular global monthly payroll and benefit expenditure of up to £4m per month, in line with delegated authorities.
- Contributing to design, thereafter enabling delivery and evaluation of reward and payroll solutions, working in conjunction with Strategic Reward Partner and HR colleagues.
- Providing expert advice and guidance for HR and business stakeholders in all aspects of reward and payroll.
- HR owner for Payroll products, with 51% decision making power, in conjunction with Reward Leadership Team (RLT).
- Responsible for all ‘payslip’ related matters; allowances – policy; updates and oversight; recognition programmes; audit support and close-out; pay analysis; supporting triennials.
- Management and delivery of the annual salary review and bonus plan.
- Accountable for successful implementation, monitoring and evaluation of short-term reward management frameworks.
- Day-to-day management of Victrex’s job architecture, including chairing job evaluation panels and providing expert advice on role profile creation and evaluation methodology.
- Day-to-day management of the 3rd parties who manage Victrex’s DC (£56M value) pension plans.
- Management of relationships with external consultants and suppliers to ensure efficient service and sustainable, cost-effective solutions.
- Reviewing reward and payroll innovations and best practice externally, presenting relevant ideas and concepts for application internally.
The role requires an experienced reward professional with a broad understanding of international and domestic payroll operations, to be able to support a specialised Payroll team. The role also requires technical HR/reward knowledge to manage annual, cyclical requirements.
You will have a Level 7 Payroll or Reward qualification or be a CIPD Chartered Member, member of a relevant professional body, or equivalent experience. Hay job evaluation and data analytics desirable.
