Role Overview: As a Complex Care Support Worker you will provide vital care and support to an individual with Complex Needs including Epilepsy, physical disabilities and Tracheostomy Care. You will need to have experience with PEG feeding, Moving and Handling as well as MAR Charts. It is imperative you can commit to extensive training and have current or previous experience with Tracheostomy Care. You will support the service user at home and in college, travelling to and from with organised minibus transport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to individuals with Complex Disabilities and Special Educational Needs.
  • Assist with personal care, bowel care, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Build trusting relationships with clients, offering emotional support and encouragement.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Monitor and document client progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
  • Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all clients.

About You

  • A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
  • Previous experience in a Mental Health Support Worker role for at least 6 months.
  • Previous experience with Complex Care is essential.
  • Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care or Mental Health (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) are an advantage.
