We're currently looking for a talented Procurement / Supply Chain specialist to join one of our prestigious FMCG manufacturing clients in the Southwest. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager and with 1 direct report, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing the procurement planning process, placing orders and expediting raw materials, ingredients, and packaging. Securing supply, optimising inventory, and contributing to new product development.

Who We're Looking For:

We need someone with proven experience in procurement and supply chain planning, ideally within a fast-paced consumer goods or similar manufacturing environment. You'll be highly organised, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills. Experience with SAP is highly desirable, or similar integrated supply chain system.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the efficient supply of all raw materials, packaging, and consumables.
  • Raising Purchase Orders and contracts with suppliers.
  • Guaranteeing on-time delivery of all materials.
  • Sharing purchasing forecasts with suppliers and providing crucial feedback on potential material issues.
  • Assisting in building robust relationships with suppliers through regular communication.
  • Maintaining up-to-date information of the supplier database in SAP.
  • Assisting the Purchasing Manager in establishing new suppliers to ensure business continuity.
  • Managing one direct report – Supply Planner.
  • Serving as a key NPD project member, ensuring new projects, raw materials, and products are delivered on time and within scope.
