Recruiting for an experienced Apparel & Graphics Designer to join a thriving multi-category supplier of licensed Childrenswear & Adults clothing. You will be part of a busy design team, working with an evolving folio of licenses and for a mix of fashion retailers, supermarkets and online etailers. It’s an exciting time to be joining as the business continues to grow and to introduce new lines.

The Job Outline

  • Responsible for licensed and original graphic / print and shape design (inc. placement, repeats, all over and embellishments).
  • Producing co-ordinated ranges to clients’ individual briefs.
  • Creation of accurate specification artwork.
  • Handling licensing approvals.
  • Developing new ideas and trends to translate into commercial ranges, being aware of trims/componentry/new print techniques/embroideries and applications.

The Person Specification

  • Ideal applicant will have experience within a similar apparel design role with strong graphic/print skills (min 3-4 years+).
  • Experience of character license/licensing is preferable.
  • A creative individual with a good eye for colour/detail and knowledge of garment construction and understanding of print techniques an advantage.
  • Proficient CAD Illustrator/Photoshop.
  • Ability to develop and manipulate graphics, prints, slogans, embellishments.
  • Ability to confidently liaise with buyers and licensors.
  • Used to working in a fast-paced design environment.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
  • An inclusive approach, ability to support others.

Applicants must have full Right to Work in the UK status; we are unable to consider PSW or sponsorship. Applicants must also be able to drive/have access to owned transport as the Head Office is based on the border of Derbyshire/Leicestershire.
