The Role – SEN Teacher (PMLD&SLD)

We are working with a school for children with Severe Learning Difficulties aged 2-19 years. The school is currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated PMLD & SLD Teacher. The school has been ranked outstanding by OFSTED for the past 21 years.

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver sensory-based, engaging lessons tailored to students with complex learning needs.
  • Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that prioritize each pupil's strengths.
  • Apply your knowledge of sensory integration therapy to support holistic development.
  • Collaborate with therapists, TAs, and parents to build a truly inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in marking, assessment, and parent/carer evenings.
  • Contribute to the development of a creative, caring, and innovative school culture.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience or strong training background in SEN or PMLD settings.
  • Deep understanding of complex learning challenges and a commitment to inclusive education.
