An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Ophthalmic Photographer to join the busy team within Ophthalmology, to provide a comprehensive diagnostic Ophthalmic photography service to patients served by the Trust.
Main duties of the job:
- The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of duties with respect to ophthalmic photography for the ophthalmology department, in accordance with the needs of the Trust.
- You will be expected to deliver an efficient, professional, skilled and broad range of technical services for the ophthalmology department using a wide range of equipment.
- You will undertake your own workload of patients and maintain associated records and mentor junior staff where required.
- The post holder will be expected to attend additional training when required and maintain CPD.
Person Specification:
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- BSc Medical Illustration / science degree or equivalent
- 2 years clinical experience working within Medical Photography (including ophthalmic photography) - evidence required.
- Recent NHS experience working in a relevant clinical field.
- State registration - ACHS/OIA
Desirable:
- Photographic / media related qualification (BA Hons / HND) or relevant experience
- IMI membership
Clinical Experience and Effectiveness:
Essential:
- Computer literacy including knowledge and experience using photo manipulation and graphics software e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud on PC and/or MAC
- Ability to use a range of ophthalmic imaging equipment.
Desirable:
- Experience of research and audit
