Chiltern Railways is looking for Qualified Train Drivers who are passionate, reliable, and ready to play a critical role in keeping the UK moving! As part of our team, you’ll be driving our trains to connect communities across the UK, ensuring a smooth, safe, and efficient service for thousands of passengers each day. Chiltern Railways operates commuter/regional rail passenger services from its Central London terminus at London Marylebone along the M40 corridor to destinations in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire, as well as long-distance services to the West Midlands.

Please Note: You must live within 60 minutes of our depot. Unfortunately, we can’t accept applications outside this timeframe. You must also have a minimum of 2 years driving experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive our trains in a safe, professional, and efficient manner, adhering to all industry regulations.
  • Be the face of the company, making on-board announcements and keeping passengers informed during station stops and service disruptions.
  • Work independently while keeping close communication with our control centre and engineering teams to resolve any issues.
  • Complete critical reports at the end of your shifts and help maintain punctual, high-quality services.

  • Safety-Focused: Committed to adhering to safety standards and reacting calmly and efficiently in stressful situations.
  • Clear Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring passengers and teams are always informed.
  • Experience & Qualifications: A minimum of GCSE-level English and Maths, plus experience as a Qualified Train Driver.
