Junior Penetration Tester – UK remote – £25,000 – £35,000 We’re working with our client, a leading Cyber Security consultancy, who\’re looking for a passionate and technically driven Junior Penetration Tester to join their growing offensive security team.This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong Computer Science background who is eager to break into the world of ethical hacking and develop hands-on skills in real-world attack simulation and security research.You’ll work alongside experienced red teamers and security consultants, supporting engagements across web applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments. Expect to grow quickly—this role will give you the mentorship, tools, and exposure to become a highly capable offensive security professional.Responsibilities:Assist in delivering penetration tests on internal/external networks, web apps, APIs, and cloud systemsSupport vulnerability assessments, threat modelling, and reporting of findings to clientsHelp develop scripts and tooling for automation, reconnaissance, and exploit developmentParticipate in red team simulations and security researchWrite clear, technically sound findings in both technical and client-friendly formatsContribute to internal knowledge-sharing and R&D effortsRequirements: Strong academic or practical background in Computer Science, this is a MUST HAVE.Basic knowledge or experience in Penetration Testing – Professional experience required.Basic familiarity with common offensive tools and techniques (Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, etc.)A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and curiosityAny CTF, personal projects, or GitHub contributions are a big plus
