The Client

Our client is a leading UK provider of specialist piled solutions for problematic ground conditions. They work with contractors, professionals and individuals who need piling expertise and the reassurance that the works will be delivered on time and to budget.

They are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Piling Design Engineer to join their team.

The Role of Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Due to an increase in workload, the Geotechnical team is looking to expand with a Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Piling Design Engineer to sit directly under the Design Manager to help manage projects from inception through to completion. Your work will consist of reviewing project deliverables across desk studies, risk assessments, foundation assessments, piling/earthworks specifications, as well as detailed design.

The Person

  • BEng Geotechnical or Civil Engineering
  • Min Incorporated engineer status / Chartered membership of a professional body (ICE) or working towards chartership
  • At least 5 years of design experience in geotechnical engineering / Piling
  • Demonstrated experience in designing embedded retaining walls, piled foundations
  • Knowledge of key aspects of geotechnical design and construction methodology
  • Good knowledge of relevant geotechnical standards and their applicability for design construction
  • Experience in piling design/construction
  • Experience in pile testing interpretation
  • Experience in managing and liaising with third parties engineers and clients
  • Very good communication skills
