We're working with a respected client based in Central London, who is looking to grow their analytical team with a bright and motivated Graduate Data Analyst. If you hold a degree (or master's) in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics, or Econometrics, and are passionate about working with data to deliver real-world insights, this could be your ideal first step.
About the Role
This is a full-time, office-based position with excellent transport links. As a Data Analyst, you'll support two core areas:
- Quantification of financial claims
- Identification of legal cases through data analysis
You'll be responsible for collecting, preparing, analysing, and presenting data, transforming raw information into clear, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate and quality-check datasets received from clients and partners
- Prepare clear, annotated Excel reports with accurate analysis
- Make and justify assumptions when full datasets aren't available
- Deliver comprehensive written reports, including methodologies and conclusions
- Present findings in well-structured, client-ready Word documents
What We're Looking For
- A minimum 2:1 degree in a numerical/applied subject such as MORSE, Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics, or Econometrics
- A relevant Master's degree is a strong advantage
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (essential)
- Problem solving skills
- Experience managing large datasets using tools such as SAS, Stata, R, or Python
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working directly with clients and partners to obtain, validate, and interpret data
