Skilled Assembly Operators with experience within the automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing sectors are required. Ideally, candidates will have previous experience in mechanical assembly and be able to follow written and verbal instructions clearly. Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace is essential.
Candidates must be able to work 2 cycle shifts to start and then 3 cycle rotational shift patterns as required. You will be working 37 hours per week, with a requirement to work additional hours when necessary.
Your duties will include:
- Assembling safety-critical products ensuring 100% accuracy
- Assembly of medium to heavy components; candidates will need to be dexterous
- Properly using and understanding the required measurement equipment
- Experience in the use of hand, power, and air tools
- Participating in the principles of teamwork
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Operating and performing at speeds necessary to meet production demand
- Bending, reaching, and standing for 8 hours
- Hand and eye coordination
- Reading drawings
- Working overtime when required
- Operating drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operations
- Fastening parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners
