Job Overview: We are seeking motivated and results-driven Freelance Business Development Consultant(s) to promote and sell our training programmes to employers across England. This role is ideal for business or individual(s) with strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and experience in telephone-based marketing and sales. While the primary focus will be telemarketing, the role will also involve email marketing to support lead generation and client engagement. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, engaging new clients, managing CRM and databases, and helping to grow our employer network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make outbound calls to prospective employers to introduce and promote ARTβs apprenticeship programmes
- Follow up on leads via phone and email to convert interest into signed agreements
- Understand employer needs and recommend suitable training solutions
- Close sales and ensure all employer paperwork and registrations are completed
- Achieve set monthly sales target
- Maintain and manage employer database and CRM systems accurately and efficiently
- Conduct targeted email marketing campaigns to generate leads and maintain engagement
- Provide timely and professional responses to employer queries
- Coordinate with internal teams for successful onboarding of new employer clients
- Record, track, and report outreach activity, conversions, and feedback
- Build and maintain positive relationships with employers for repeat business and referrals
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Based in England with the right to work in the UK
- Proven experience in telephone sales, telesales, or telemarketing
- Previous experience in promoting training or education services, ideally apprenticeships
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Confident phone manner and ability to handle objections professionally
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Experience in using CRM and database management tools
- Experience in email marketing platforms or email-based outreach
- Tech-savvy with access to a laptop/desktop and stable internet connection
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment for the education business sector with proven success rate and target achievement
Advantageous Skills:
- Recruitment and or business development background in the education or training sector
- Knowledge of UK apprenticeship funding and training frameworks
- Experience selling B2B training and or government-funded education services
- Ability to attend occasional meetings or training sessions (online or in-person if required)
