Our client is a major retailer of fashion, furniture and homeware who are renowned for trend led, quality products. They are currently seeking a Handbag Designer for a 12-month Maternity Cover who will be part of the Womenswear Non-Clothing team. They are always looking to push the boundaries of design within this category and across multi-fabrications, and you will be working alongside the Buyers, Merchandisers and Product Technologists closely with a keen eye for pricing and elevated design. Experience within bag design is a must for this position. Creative and approachable with clear presentation skills, you will drive the design within the bags area of Womenswear. You will need to keep on top of advanced trends, use your knowledge of brands within this category and help push the design direction for the company.
You will be situated within their amazing Design Studio, over-looking the lake in the central part of their Head Office Campus with free parking on-site, including car sharing and a free company bus service to and from Leicester City Centre and other areas. They are also open to discussing hybrid working.
Other skills and experience needed for the Handbag Designer:

- Experience of pattern making and prototyping
