Primus-Silva is seeking a dynamic and proactive Technical Representative to join our team in the UK. We're looking for someone with a passion for running and the outdoors, ideally with experience in the sports and outdoor industry. This role involves regular travel across the UK, so a home base in the North with good access to major motorways is preferred. The primary focus will be supporting events and delivering product training. You'll be responsible for organizing and participating in training clinics, run nights, and events in collaboration with our retail partners to help drive product sell-through. In addition to event support, you will also be assigned a small portfolio of retail accounts to manage and grow, offering you the opportunity to develop strong relationships and contribute directly to our sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Training & Education
    • Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions for retail staff and partners to build product knowledge and confidence.
    • Organize and lead training clinics and workshops tailored to various retail environments.
  • Event Coordination & Support
    • Plan, attend, and support run nights, brand activations, and outdoor events across the UK.
    • Represent the brand at industry events and community gatherings to build awareness and drive engagement.
    • Participate in trade fairs, festivals, and marketing events—including weekends when required.
    • Support major events such as Love Trails Festival and Kendal Mountain Festival to strengthen brand presence and connect with core audiences.
  • Account Management
    • Manage a portfolio of retail accounts, nurturing strong relationships to ensure brand visibility and growth.
    • Monitor performance and support sell-through by advising on merchandising, stock planning, and promotional opportunities.
  • Territory Coverage & Travel
    • Travel weekly to visit retail partners and support events throughout the UK, with a focus on efficient regional planning.
    • Maintain a consistent presence in the field to ensure high levels of customer engagement.
    • Work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities for growth and provide feedback from the field.
    • Assist in driving sales by promoting new products and supporting seasonal launches.
  • Brand Advocacy
    • Act as a brand ambassador for Primus-Silva, promoting brand values and product benefits within the outdoor and running communities.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key influencers, communities, and retail staff.
  • Reporting & Communication
    • Report directly to the UK Sales Manager, providing regular updates on account performance, event outcomes, and market feedback.
    • Ensure clear and proactive communication with internal teams to support company goals.

Your Profile & Experience

  • Positive, solution-oriented, and sales-driven, with a proactive approach to challenges and opportunities.
  • A genuine passion for running, hiking, skiing, cycling, and the outdoors—with strong ties to the running community.
  • Experience attending or working at races and outdoor events is a strong advantage.
  • An effective relationship builder who communicates well with a wide range of personalities, from retail staff to event participants.
  • Takes pride in product quality and is enthusiastic about representing a trusted, reputable brand.
  • IT proficient, with solid skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience using sales platforms.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence, with a willingness and ability to travel weekly across the UK, including driving vans.

Location: This is a full-time, mobile position with regular domestic travel required for in-store visits to retail customers, training clinics and occasional events and trade shows, etc. Head office in the UK is based in Livingston, Scotland. Our Global headquarters is Stockholm, Sweden where you would travel to twice a year.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary with a performance-based bonus scheme.
