IDC’s IT Executive Programs help clients make data-driven decisions to lead their organizations into the digital future. Our actionable intelligence and consulting engagements yield measurable results. We are currently seeking an experienced Account Executive who has demonstrated success selling pertinent intangibles (e.g., software and/or consulting services) into the UK – Targeted F1000 Enterprises and State / Local Government. The role will focus on acquiring new business (about 80%) and to a lesser extent renewing existing accounts (20%).

Responsibilities
- Creating and deploying solution selling techniques to rapidly grow and expand the designated end user territory within F1000 enterprises state and local government.
- Creating and delivering highly effective presentations on IDC’s offerings to executive decision makers and identify prospect needs across a diverse set of organisations.
- Identifying prospective needs and create winning proposals for the sale of IDC’s offerings.
- Gaining and using knowledge about important IT and industry issues across Energy, Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare, Government and Financial Services.
- Earning and/or securing business relationships with this important end client set, having an understanding of IT vendors serving those industry’s needs, and being able to craft winning relationships with potential clients.
- This role will include a combination of individual work and team selling with analysts, consultants, and other IDC sales professionals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. MBA a plus.
- 7+ years of direct sales experience, along with strong written, analytical, verbal communication, time management and organisational skills.
- Demonstrate success working independently to sell complex goods and services to technology vendors.
- The ability to build relationships at all levels within a company and the ability to set a sales strategy to develop new business as well as incremental sales with existing clients.
- Prior market research industry, or technical, sales experience is a plus.
- Ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, motivated, assertive, collaborative, and a self-starter.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with Sales Enablement tools such as Salesloft preferred.
- Up to 25% travel.
A competitive salary which includes a base salary, commission and accelerated commission opportunities. A benefit package which includes private healthcare, an 8% non-contributory pension plan as well as 28 days of holidays plus bank holidays plus additional fully paid company-wide days off (these change every year but in 2024 you would get from 23rd December until 1st January 2025). A flexible hybrid working model (the candidate should be willing to travel to the office in London - Ealing - about 1x a week).
