Job Description: The role of Remediation Officer is responsible for overseeing the Assessment and Remediation element of the Compliance & Audit function by monitoring and reporting on the compliance of key building elements. Key responsibilities and tasks include:
- To monitor and report on the compliance of Fire Safety equipment, lift & general M&E equipment, fire doors and cladding.
- Writing, implementing and reviewing processes.
- To act as the Group's Primary Authority Liaison.
- Working closely with the management team and other stakeholders to respond to Enforcement Notices and Fire Events.
- To offer guidance in response to Fire Risk Assessments.
- Tracking and answering Landlord Certificate queries from clients.
- Answering Apartment Resales queries in relation to compliance status of buildings.
- Liaising with Property Managers and leaseholders in relation to remediation projects with Government and developers.
Qualifications and Skills: Candidates for this position should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Experience in managing residential buildings in a managing agent environment.
- An understanding of building safety related legislation.
- Experience of major remediation projects.
- Great communication skills and the ability to manage contractor relationships.
- Experience of instructing and interpreting building/asset assessments.
- Ideally qualified to ATPI level.
- Open minded and self motivated with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
- Ability to understand and present new ideas.
- Great IT skills including Microsoft Excel.
- Full UK driving licence.
