Food Technologist Wednesbury £35,000 – £40,000 doe Mon – Fri 8.30am – 5.30pm One of Europe’s leading food suppliers in their field, is looking to recruit an experienced Food Technologist t join its well established and friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation that was established in 1972 who are trusted by companies of all sizes at home and abroad, supplying to manufacturing, food services, wholesale and retail. Essential qualifications and experience * A Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related subject * Previous experience in an FMCG/Food related role * Strong understanding of Food science principles, Chemistry and Microbiology * Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and a part of a team. * Attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures. * Knowledge of food safety regulations & quality control * Supplier approval maintenance * Product specific maintenance Key Duties * Food safety – Implementing & maintaining food safety protocols and ensuring compliance with regulations, support with site audits and visits. * Process improvement – Identifying and implementing more efficient ways to produce food products. * Compliance – Ensuring products meet legal and regulatory requirements including labelling regulations.
