Junior Electrical Design Engineer Location: High Wycombe Salary: up to £32,000 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Are you a recent Electrical Engineering graduate looking to kickstart your career in a hands-on design role? This is a unique opportunity to work alongside and learn from a highly experienced engineer with over 40 years in the industry, with the long-term goal of taking over a key position within the business. We\’re recruiting on behalf of an established and innovative engineering company that designs and manufactures bespoke electrical products and systems for specialist applications based in High Wycombe. You\’ll be involved across the full product lifecycle from concept and design to testing and delivery. What you\’ll be doing: Shadow and learn from the current Electrical Design Engineer Assist in the design and development of custom electrical products and assemblies Interpret customer specifications to determine design requirements Create wiring diagrams, electrical tables, and supporting documentation Help design and implement electrical test methods and equipment Evaluate products and materials for suitability and safety Contribute to R&D and continuous improvement projects Support off-site testing and qualification activities What we\’re looking for: A degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or related discipline) Ideally less than 2 years\’ post-graduate experience A proactive, detail-focused approach and a strong willingness to learn Ability to read technical drawings and follow engineering processes Strong communication and teamwork skills What\’s in it for you: Up to £32,000 starting salary One-on-one mentoring from a senior engineer A clear path to grow into a lead design role Broad technical exposure across design, testing, and development Join a collaborative, quality-driven engineering team If you\’re motivated, eager to learn, and want to build a rewarding career in electrical design — we\’d love to hear from you.
