Employment Solicitor (Locum), 6+ PQE, South Yorkshire, c. £55-£60 per hour. A friendly and well-stablished firm is seeking an experienced employment locum support the team during ongoing support to cover permanent recruitment. Job Ref: 9601
THE ROLE:
This is a locum position due to commence as soon as possible, requiring an experienced solicitor who can quickly adapt and begin as soon as possible. Secretarial support will be available to assist with day-to-day tasks and ensure effective management of the caseload. The role also includes responsibility for supervising a trainee solicitor. In addition, the successful candidate will represent clients at Employment Tribunal hearings, provide strategic HR and employment law advice, and lead negotiations.
THE CANDIDATE:
The firm is seeking a qualified solicitor with a minimum of six years' post-qualification experience in employment law, capable of handling cases of varying complexity. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience acting for both respondents and claimants, delivering exceptional client care and clear, practical advice. The appointed solicitor will be adept in managing a broad range of employment matters, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, and TUPE, as well as drafting employment contracts, workplace policies, and settlement agreements.
