Line Reporting Manager: STW Logistics Manager
Hours: Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)
Salary: £12.60ph / £29,484
Principle Duties and Accountabilities:
- Manage the delivery of planned and reactive services.
- Liaise with and assist generally other sections in the Company in the delivery of operational and administrative services to internal and external customers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Working closely with our Senior Transport Teams to ensure paperwork and admin is up to date.
- Managing the in-house systems and databases (Weighsoft, CTrack, Ortec, AAIR).
- Liaising with Industrial, Commercial and Domestic customers to assist in the delivery of planned and reactive work.
- Manage and maintain office files including Training Records and arrange Training Dates.
- Dealing with general telephone enquiries from customers and employees.
- Ensure that all jobs are documented correctly.
- Being flexible in your approach to work and undertake ad-hoc duties to assist with the operation of the Transport Department.
- Always perform tasks in accordance with H&S and statutory procedures having regard also to the Company’s quality management system.
Qualifications / Competency:
- Previous experience in the transport, waste, or logistics industry desired.
- Must have the ability to take on responsibility for your own workload.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office systems including Word and Excel.
- Good communicator, able to provide clear oral and written advice to field teams and management as required.
- Organising and planning skills to ensure work programmes are established and followed.
- Able to work with a minimum of supervision.
- Reliable, responsible, numerate, and commercially aware.
- Receptive to training and new ways of working.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
