About our Client & the Role:
Our biopharmaceutical client is advancing innovative therapies at both clinical and commercial stages of development, focused on next-generation, programmed T cell therapies for the treatment of cancer. They are seeking an experienced Workday Systems Operations Lead to manage post-go-live hyper care for our Workday HCM launch. This individual will serve as the central point of coordination for triaging and resolving issues, ensuring system stability, and managing day-to-day operational readiness across IT, HR, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day IT operations during Workday go-live hypercare period by coordinating across HR, IT and vendors.
- Triage incoming issues related to integrations, security, business processes, and configuration.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and resolve issues where possible.
- Work closely with HR, IT application teams, and vendors to drive timely resolution of issues.
- Ensure that hot fixes and urgent changes follow a clear review and approval path before deployment.
- Monitor and track key hyper care metrics such as onboarding/offboarding success rates, integration status, and system access issues.
- Maintain clear documentation of issues, resolutions, and decisions.
- Coordinate with Workday support and implementation partners to escalate and resolve critical problems.
- Proactively identify patterns in issues and propose longer-term solutions or improvements in the application backlog.
- Run daily stand-ups or war room meetings during the hypercare phase.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Workday HCM modules, configuration, and integrations.
- Business Systems or Application support background, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing post-launch support or hypercare for complex, cross-functional enterprise systems.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Workday integrations for benefits, payroll with third party vendors.
- Demonstrated experience managing vendors through implementation stabilization phases.
- Excellent judgment and communication skills; ability to route issues to the appropriate owner and ensure timely decisions.
