Please note that this role can be based either at our Blyth site in Northumberland or the Glenrothes site in Fife, and all candidates must be within commuting distance of one of these locations. This role will be on a fixed-term basis for 8 months.
VELUX Commercial is a new division in the VELUX Group, established in 2019, and comprises the former JET, Vitral, VELUX Modular Skylights and COXDOME organisations. Today, VELUX Commercial operates as one company with more than 1100 people in 11 countries and offers support to building professionals throughout the entire process from specification to delivery and maintenance of daylight and ventilation solutions for industrial, commercial, and public buildings.
As a Multi-Product Sales Operations Advisor, you will support both internal and external sales teams by expertly managing quotations, orders, and customer interactions across the full product range.
Your challenges:
In this role, you will join our VELUX Commercial Sales Operations team in GB&I, which is dedicated to putting the needs of our customers first. Our team is characterised by a growth mindset, informal tone, and open-door culture. As a team, we offer as well as accept help and feedback and make sure we have fun together.
This role involves engaging with customers to clarify requirements, preparing accurate quotes, processing orders in ERP/CRM systems, and flexibly supporting the busiest product areas. It also includes providing basic technical assistance and handling general sales administration to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
What You Will be Doing:
- Work closely with the Inside and external sales teams.
- Become an expert in quoting & ordering across our full range of products.
- Support in whichever product area of Sales Operations is busiest at any given time.
- Engage with customers upon receipt of quote requests to clarify their requirements and establish necessary return dates.
- Prepare and finalise quotations prior to sending them to customers.
- Effectively manage project margins.
- Clarify, finalise and enter orders into our ERP systems.
- Manage incoming enquiries using the company CRM system.
- General sales administration as required.
- Offer a basic level of technical assistance to architects, main contractors and end users.
- Handling/making incoming/outgoing phone calls, emails and postal enquiries to/from Architects & Main Contractors.
- Responding to enquiries or passing relevant information to the internal and external sales teams.
- Carry out any other tasks as may be reasonably requested in relation to your role.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
- βAβ level education (or equivalent)
- Highly organised and self-disciplined with excellent planning skills and the ability to focus on the right things at the right time
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop professional working relationships at all levels
- Strong computer literacy skills; Microsoft Office Packages or similar
- Ability to effectively manage key stakeholders within a global matrix organisation
- Robust and resilient attitude towards challenges and change
- Full UK driving license
- Passport

- Strong networking skills
Please note that, as part of the role, occasional travel will be required to our other UK location (approx. 2-3 times per year).
